If you have a job interview lined up, and FindYourJobNow.com helped you find that job… congratulations! We are incredibly proud to have assisted you during your employment journey.

But, if you don’t have a job interview lined up yet, don’t worry, we’re going to show you how to find a job ASAP.

Either way, you’re going to want to pay close attention to what we say today. Because whether you have an interview set next week, or you’re anticipating that we’ll help you find a job to interview for soon…

You’re going to have to nail that interview in order to get a job offer. With that said, today, we’ll share some common job interview questions you’ll likely be asked so you can prepare well beforehand.

And we’ll share some questions you should ask the interviewer, so you look even more prepared to start working right away.

Now, remember, the average hiring manager uses the “rule of three” during the hiring process. Meaning they’ll interview at least three candidates before making a choice.[1]

With all things being equal, the candidate who handles the interview best has the best chance of being hired. That’s precisely why you need to be ready for the questions we’re going to share with you today.

Because if you’re ready for them and the other candidates aren’t, well, you could be the one who handles the interview best… the one who gets the job!

So, let’s get to the questions, which as you’ll see, are independent of your resume listed “hard skills” …

#1: Can you tell me about yourself and briefly describe your background?

#2: How did you hear about this position?

#3: What’s your preferred type of work environment?

#4: How do you handle stressful situations?

#5: Do you prefer working on a team or independently?

#6: How do you stay organized when working on multiple projects?

#7: Over the past year, what have you done to improve your knowledge?

#8: What are your salary expectations?

#9: Have you been applying for other jobs?

#10: Your resume shows an employment gap, can you explain why?

Now, outside of the employment gap question, 9 of these 10 questions are very likely to be asked. So, spend a little bit of time going through them, and constructing HONEST answers to them.

And now, here’s ten things you should ask the interviewer, so you look even more prepared than the other candidates:

#1: For this position, how is success measured?

#2: What kinds of challenges does a person in this position face?

#3: What is a typical workday or workweek like here?

#4: How long did the last person with this position stay?

#5: What are the six month and 1 year goals for this position?

#6: For this position, what separates a good employee from a great employee?

#7: Can you explain the company culture to me?

#8: What do you like most about working here?

#9: What is the timeline the company has for making this hire?

#10: If hired, could I get some materials beforehand so on day one I’m well prepared to hit the ground running?

There you go!

10 questions they’ll likely ask you, and 10 questions you should ask them. Like we said earlier, you should begin compiling your HONEST answers to these questions now and memorize the questions you should ask them.

If you do, you’re likely to increase your chances of getting a job offer.
