#10: Animal Care Specialists – This “group” of jobs includes everything from dog walkers and cat sitters to veterinarians and kennel owners. This sector is expected to really boom into the next decade, with 19.4% more specialists needed by 2031. Because of the wide array of careers in this field, the average hourly wage is only $14.19, but can be much higher depending on the exact job.
#9: Travel Agents – Believe it or not, even with the availability of near instant online booking and travel apps, the need for travel agents is growing. By 2031 the economy will need a whopping 19.7% more agents, currently paying an average of $22.39 an hour.
