Right now, there are millions of unfilled jobs available across America. Yes, millions. However, there are also millions of people who are looking for work.[1]

Essentially, the competition for the best jobs is heating up.

So, if you’re reading this, chances are you’re competing for a job too. Maybe you’re currently employed and looking to “upgrade” from your current job…

Or maybe you’re not employed yet and are looking to start a job ASAP.

Either way, FindYourJobNow.com is here to help you find a job, and find one fast.

So let’s get to it.

Now, even though there are indeed millions of job openings, 7.2 million of them according to the latest information from the government,[2] the best, highest paying jobs out there are not easy to get.

In fact, The Conference Board showed that as of last month, about 20% of Americans say jobs are hard to get. Up from about 18.9% the previous month.[3]

So, whether the job you want is in-office, in-field, remote or hybrid, qualified candidates like you are having a tough time noticed by employers.

And one big reason why could be this: your resume.

You see, even if you are the most qualified person for a job, have an incredible background and are a hard-core workaholic, if you’re missing a few key “skills” on your resume, you may get overlooked. And overlooked for someone who is a far lesser candidate.

So what are the skills you should include on your resume?

Well, outside of your hard skills, like your ability to use MS Excel, your ability to weld or write computer code…

You absolutely must include your soft skills. Soft skills are the personal attributes you possess. Attributes like social behaviors and character traits that help employers determine how effectively you work with others… And how you approach your work yourself.

Here’s a list of soft skills you should put on your resume (if you have them, of course).

  • Problem solving, Critical thinking, Analytical reasoning, People management, Leadership, Adaptability, Teamwork, Communication, Listening, Writing, Creativity, Paying attention to detail, Project management, Relationship building.

Now…

Just about everyone else who is looking for the job you want will probably be adding soft skills to their resume too. This is where you need to think outside the box.

Normally, you’d want your resume to be about a page or two long… But, if you think outside the box here, your resume may get noticed.

Here’s what we mean…

Create an entire page of your resume titled “Soft Skills.” List all of your soft skills and give real world examples of how you used them successfully at your last job.

Be specific. Anyone can say they have leadership skills, but not everyone can demonstrate they actually have them. So, demonstrate them with your real-world examples.

Of course, most websites that offer resume suggestions will tell you to keep it concise… about 2 pages, like we said.

But if everyone is doing the same thing, nobody sticks out. Right?

Stick out. Add an entire dedicated page of soft skills to your resume.

Now that you’ve got that great tip…
