Part time jobs can pay, and some of them can pay big! So, if you haven’t thought about getting a part time job yet, you’ll want to seriously consider the jobs we’re going to show you today.
Why?
Because not only do some of them pay really well, but at least nine of them can be done fully remote, and all of them could eventually lead you to a full-time position.
Get this, about 17% of the entire US workforce is composed of part-timers.[1] And no, these part-timers aren’t all “kids” with summer jobs, or grannies greeting folks at the front door of a big box store.
In fact, most part time workers are between the ages of 25 and 54.[2]
Right now, the average part-time worker makes about $35,350 a year. That’s not bad for only working a few hours a day, right?
But it gets even better than that.
Some of the jobs we’re going to show you today offer hourly wages that exceed the average hourly wage of full-time workers. Meaning, if you get one of these jobs, you have the potential to be paid practically as much as the average full-time worker gets paid.
And again, part time jobs can turn into full time jobs!
Now, before we get to the jobs, you should know that you’ll need some experience in these fields, or an education/skillset that matches the job requirements. We’ll address this in a minute.
First, let’s get to the jobs.
We’re going to begin with nine of the best-paying part-time jobs (all paying a median wage of $30/hour or more) that are fully remote. They are, according to Forbes…[3]
As you can see, these part-time, fully remote jobs all pay really good. But also, as you can see, you will need a good background or education in that particular job in order to get one.
Now, let’s get to part-time jobs that are not necessarily remote (but some could be). These jobs, according to U.S. News & World Report are, with median hourly salaries…[4]
Again, these jobs all pay pretty good, right? Especially since they’re part-time positions.
Now, you may be thinking… “this is great and all, but I’m not qualified to make $42.08 an hour as a Dental Hygienist.”
And you may be right. But just because you aren’t qualified yet, doesn’t mean you can’t be. It just takes a little bit of education.
See, most of the jobs we just showed you, if not all of them, will require you to graduate from a career-based school in order to land the position.
In many cases, career schools don’t take a long time to complete and are normally far less expensive than four-year college.
Meaning, if you get certified as a Dental Hygienist, for example, (a two-year associate degree), you could be on your way to making a great living.
And…
If you become a dental hygienist full time, at $42.08 an hour…
You’re looking at about $87k a year! That’s really good.
