There’s a whole lot of jobs available out there. 7.437 million jobs, in fact. This, according to the latest data from Bureau of Labor Statistics.[1]

But, while the availability of millions of jobs is eye-popping, what we’re about to show you next is simply mind-boggling.

Get this… well over 25% of all open jobs, right now, haven’t been filled for at least three months.[2] That’s a quarter of a year!

This means that not only are millions of jobs available right now, but employers may be getting desperate to fill them.

Afterall, having a job posting for three months and not filling the position could be very detrimental to a company’s productivity. They need workers…

They need you to apply.

Now, data shows that there are some states that have well over 30% of the job postings unfilled after three months. Some are way over, in fact.

So, if you live in any of the states we’re about to list, chances are you could find a job rather quickly.

Of course, some of these job openings may not end up being the dream job you’re after but collecting a paycheck while still hunting that dream never hurts.

But don’t forget, with so many employers desperately wanting to hire, you may have some serious leverage when it comes to salary negotiations.

In fact, Andreas Voniatis, Founder and CEO of Artois said of the situation, “It’s crucial that employers reevaluate the way that they attract new talent to adapt to prospective employees’ priorities.

“Work-life is more important than ever, and many companies are unable to advertise benefits like remote or hybrid work flexibility, paid parental leave, a lack of unpaid overtime, or performance-based incentives…”[3]

With that said, we’ll list the top 10 states with the highest unfilled job openings, then we’ll show you how to find a job in those states (or any state, for that matter).

Ready?

Here we go…

We’ll start with West Virginia. In WV, 31% of job postings have gone unfilled over the past three months…

Next is North Carolina. Employers in the Tarheel state show 31.1% of their job postings go unfilled (again, three months).

Data from Georgia show 31.3% of its job postings don’t get filled…

With Alabama coming in at 31.5%

Louisiana has a 31.8% unfilled rate, with New Mexico coming in at 31.9%.

In Mississippi, nearly one third (32.9%) of all job postings are unfilled after three months, with New Hampshire showing a 35.3% unfilled rate.

Way up north, in Alaska, a whopping 37.7% of employer job postings have gone unfilled for at least three months…

With Wyoming coming in at #1.

39.7% of all job postings in WY have been active/unfilled after three months.

Now, the unfilled job rate across all of the USA is 29.1%. Meaning this: No matter where you live, you can find a job. You just have to know how to look for one using modern technology…
