Interviewer: “Do you have any questions for me?”
You: “Yes, thank you for asking” …
1: “What are your expectation of me in this role, and what do you feel should be accomplished by me in my first 90 days?”
2: “Can you tell me more about the team I’d be working with, what’s needed to make that team stronger, and how my responsibilities on the team may change over the next six months or so?”
3: “I’m a big believer in efficiency. So how does the team I’d be working with interact with your other teams? And how is that workflow collaborated between everyone to assure the job gets done?”
4: “What are the current short term, medium term and long-term goals the company has, and how would the team I’d be working on help fulfill those goals?”
5: “Can you tell me about some of the challenges I may face in this role?”
6: “What is your favorite thing about the company and its culture?”
7: “If you did hire me, could you provide any materials to help get me up to speed, before my first day?”
These seven questions, when you ask them, should help you look not only like you’re serious about the job, but also make you look like you’re “smart” and ready to go asap.
